British Sea Power’s “Sea of Brass” With NASUWT Riverside Brass Band

Produced by Kate Walters, a participant in New Music Plus…UK a professional development programme developed by PRS for Music Foundation in association with the hub, with funding from Arts Council England, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Esmeé Fairbairn Foundation and PRS for Music Foundation.

After working with musical arranger Peter Wraight (Matthew Herbert Big Band), the chart-topping indie rock band British Sea Power bring their new project to the Sage. BSP will be performing their favourite songs from a ten year back catalogue in collaboration with NASUWT Riverside Brass Band.

 

British Sea Power are a six-piece band various originating from Cumbria, Yorkshire, Ealing and Shropshire who have released seven albums since 2003 and are currently the longest-serving band/artist signed to Rough Trade Records.

 

This event has been co-commissioned by the Brass: Durham International Festival and Barbican Centre London, with grateful support from Arts Council England and PRS for Music Foundation.
