Across a 4 month period in 2016, the British Council asked the hub to provide some evaluation strategy support to the global arts team. Our work included developing a new evaluation planning framework for the team, linked to the organisation’s overarching mission, vision and KPIs, alongside providing training, mentoring and producing a webinar about our new evaluation framework.
Key outputs included: devising and running two evaluation-focused training the trainer type sessions, covering evaluation essentials, and how to map these against the British Council’s KPI framework and relevant theory of change models; creating bank of support materials (eg. evaluation planning template, jargon buster, evaluation cycle, survey planning resources) that have been housed in the new internal arts unit evaluation bank; delivering a webinar for arts team members based in South Asia that has subsequently been made available for download by other BC team members.
