English Folk Expo 2015
English Folk Expo, the annual showcase for all that’s good – and new – in English folk music, returns to its Bury home for a third year.
English Folk Expo welcomes the world’s music industry to experience this vibrant and rapidly expanding source of folk music talent. Held in Bury in Lancashire, it’s presented in partnership with Homegrown, and provides an effective and previously unavailable route into the English folk, roots and acoustic market. Delegates are given access to all Homegrown festival performances, as well as additional industry-only showcases and events which will provide opportunities to make links with and form new working relationships with industry gate-keepers to the folk, roots and acoustic music industry in England. A few delegate places are still available, so to register your interest go here.
Among this year’s performance highlights are Eliza Carthy, Seth Lakeman, Emily Portman and Edward II (featuring the hub’s own John Hart!)
As in the previous two years, the hub is working with English Folk Expo to measure the event’s economic impact, and we’re thrilled to have been invited back to what is such a great event!
English Folk Expo is produced by Playpen Management and is supported by Arts Council England, English Folk Dance & Song Society, The Met and Bury Council.
