Free webinar – Takes One To Know One: working with young people to develop young adult audiences
Do you work in independent music? Are you interested in how working with young people can help you develop young adult audiences for your music events?
Join us online for the first in a new series of hubchats, informal interactive video broadcasts aimed at people working in independent music. Filmed at King’s College London and streamed live we’ll be presenting a lively one-hour panel discussion with the aim of inspiring and sharing knowledge amongst people working in independent music.
We’re delighted to be joined by three expert panellists for this our hubchat:
▪ Emily Kerr, Marketing Manager of The Roundhouse’s Youth Programme
▪ Tatenda Musesengwa, Client Services Director at leading research agency YouthSight, and
▪ Oscar MacKenzie, Junior Community Manager for somewhereto and youth marketing agency Livity.
We’ll be asking them to share their knowledge and experience to help us explore three headline questions:
- Why should festivals, promoters and venues work with young people if they want to build a younger audience?
- How do you recruit young people and – having done so – how do you work successfully with them?
- What works and what doesn’t work when you are trying to build younger audiences
And we’d like you to participate too! By registering now for this free event you can ask our panellists to respond to any burning questions you might have during the broadcast and comment on what they have to say. The event is being broadcast via Google Hangouts on Air, so you can post questions either in advance or live during the broadcast itself. For more information on Google Hangouts on Air and how you can actively participate we’ve put together a short Guide.
You can also send questions for the panellists and follow all the twitter action on the day via the hashtag #hubchat or our twitter feed @tweetsatthehub
This first hubchat will be available to view online after the 27th so if you’re busy on the day don’t worry, you can still catch up on all the conversation and resources. Although by watching live you’ll be able to join the discussion and comment on what’s being said.
We hope to see you there!
