Festivals Box Office Internship

the hub is leading a programme of consultation and research, funded by Arts Council England, into developing an online box office service and marketing training programme especially for voluntary sector festivals, to be launched in 2008. To do this we are working in partnership with the Association of Festival Organisers (AFO) and the British Arts Festivals Association (BAFA). Our aim is to provide for those who seek new or additional ticket outlets, a service which will increase sales and improve festivals? ability to identify and reach bigger target audiences, either as a new ticket outlet or in addition to existing outlets. We are looking for an intern to play a part in delivering this programme and become part of the hub team for a three month placement.

the hub is a dynamic arts development practice.

  • we develop new thinking and practice in the arts
  • we create and work on projects that excite us
  • we enable others to better meet their potential
  • we share our knowledge to improve our cultural landscape

Our entrepreneurial, ‘think and do tank’ approach to development marks us out from other consultancies and public sector agencies. We combine our own practice with consultancy. We think and do in order to learn, and we share with our partners, clients and peers what we learn. We work in this way because we value our independence, because we’re excited by ideas, and because we’re motivated by a desire to develop our cultural landscape.
